Books
From short stories to poetry and everything in-between, Kaylee's love for writing has continued to grow and mature through life. Her studies at ASU, while primarily in music fostered further her inspiration to write, setting her poetry to musical compositions, as well as writing intriguing research on time perception in music, and the relation of music to the imagination. She currently has several projects in the works, including but not limited to, a children's series about a family of pandas and a devotional for seasons of waiting.

Her upcoming publication, Transform, uses poetry to tell the story of her journey from depression and hopelessness to joy and purpose found in her faith in Jesus. It is a chronological collection of her poems written over a span of 13 years.

Transform
Nights of repeated numbness, panicked breathing cutting out all other sounds, restless thoughts slipping farther into the darkness of despair. Weight lifted, peace unknown discovered, captivated by joy transcending. A poetic journey from darkness to light, Transform will take you through the true story of a life changed from depression and hopelessness to joy and freedom. The poems of Kaylee Orem do not hold back the reality of expression within her being and display with compelling vulnerability her transformation from despairing cynicism to hope-filled faith.
